Founded in 1856 Enfield is one of the oldest cricket clubs in England's south-east. It was one of the founder members of the Middlesex County Cricket League and has a fine history.
Enfield currently runs three Saturday League and two Sunday teams with the aim to provide recreational cricket that is both fun and competitive. Indeed, in 2003 an inaugural Ladbrokes Fair Play Award was awarded to the First Eleven for its sportsmanship in its League matches - an award that was subsequently retained in 2004.
It is hoped that 2008 will be another good year for the club. Recent achievements have included reaching the semi-finals of the Evening Standard Challenge Trophy in 2003, Middlesex County Cricket League Div 3 Champions in 2002 and, of course, the Fair Play Awards.
Other honours in the club's history have included Middlesex County League titles, Middlesex County Cups and the National Club Cricket Knock-Out Cup in 1988.
Anyone interested in playing for the club is very welcome to either e-mail Ed Barnard or to come along to Nets which are being held on Wednesday evenings from 6pm at Enfield Cricket CLub, Lincoln Road, Enfield.
